What should I wear? What should I bring?
General recommendation is to wear comfortable, slightly loose-fitting clothing that enables you to move freely. Initiative Games are conducted in a grassy field. The Team Building activities are located in the woods and accessed by a short hike on maintained trails.
‘DO’s’
• Sturdy sneakers or hiking shoes ABSOLUTELY REQUIRED. NO OPEN TOE SHOES (P.S. Wear socks also!)
• Long pants (Khakis or jeans if cool, shorts if hot.
• t-shirt or long sleeve shirt.
• Fleece pullover, sweatshirt, or light jacket. Layers are always a good idea. Temperatures can fluctuate quickly, so be prepared. Even on a warm day it can get cool in the woods!
• If it looks like rain, bring raincoat or Gore-Tex jacket.
• bug repellent
• Water Bottle
• Sunscreen
• Bring a camera to get great pictures of you and your Team Mates!
‘DON’TS’
• NO Flip-flops, sandals, slippers, boots or shoes with heels. For safety reasons, people wearing inappropriate footwear will not be allowed to participate in the Ropes Program.
• If you have long hair, bring something to tie it back with.
• Don’t wear dangling earrings, loose bracelets, watches, long necklaces. Leave your favorite jewelry at home, please.
• Try not to wear cotton clothing if the weather looks rainy, because it gets wet, it does not dry quickly, and you will get cold.
• NO cell phones, iPods, hand-held games, etc are permitted on the course. You wont need them, and there is a good chance that the devices could get dropped, damaged or lost during the program.
• No gum or candy permitted while engaging in the program, sorry!
The one thing that we can promise you, (besides having a great time) is that you will probably get dirty, so don’t wear your best or favorite clothing.
We look forward to your visit!
